AVOID BUSINESS IF ON TIGHT BUDGET. I am writing a genuine review to inform future customers that Glenwood Auto prices very high for basic/standard mechanical work. If you are looking to get work done for reasonable/competitive rates, then go somewhere else. Please take my word as a customer who had an EXTREMELY SIMPLE JOB done and was charged an ABSURD AMOUNT for their service. Obviously this is not my real name due to the fact that the manager writes very defensive and hostile responses, taking absolutely no blame for customer issues. Please be aware of these wolves disguised as sheep.

Jared, I am sorry that you are unhappy with our business. We have received 6 or 7 one star review's by people who never have even come in our door, which is unfortunate. They left reviews based on not being given a quote over the phone when their vehicle was in another shop being diagnosed. Unfortunately we do not do phone quotes, and try to undercut other shops to get work as our top priority is quality repairs and honest pricing. In your case, as is the case with a few others, the problem is price. Unfortunately in the automotive repair industry, you do NOT need to be a Licensed Journeyman Automotive Technician to work in a shop. I feel this is unfortunate, as these NON Journeyman people working in these shops do not have the schooling, and the ongoing education required to be a Journeyman AutomotiveTechnician. Unfortunately there are a lot of shops out there that employ NON Journeyman people in their shops. My Technicians receive a professional wage, where as a NON Journeyman technician usually is making somewhere just above minimum wage. Without the proper education, mistakes happen, standards drop, and unknowingly vehicles are repaired improperly and not to Professional Standards. All of Glenwood Auto Service's Technicians are licensed by the Provincial Government, and take continuous ongoing training. We have very high standards for the quality of the workmanship that we do here at Glenwood. We can fix your vehicle cheaper BUT WON'T. We will not employ NON Journeyman Technicians in our shop. We could also choose to install "cheap, low quality" parts on your vehicle. We will NOT do that either. A lot of our parts come with a lifetime warranty. Our "bare minimum" warranty is 3 years/60 000km. Your safety and the reliability of your vehicle is what matter to us, not competing to be the lowest price repair shop in the city. We take on a huge liability every time we repair a vehicle, and will not sacrifice your safety or other drivers on the road's safety to save you money and do a low quality job. You can always call me and talk to me in person, I am unafraid to to put my name behind this negative review reply, or the work we do in our shop. I am proud of the work we do, and the professional's that work here and perform it. Robert Scott Glenwood Auto Service 306-374-3551

brought my 2011 Impreza in for a wheel alignment. specified that I wanted an alignment AND inspection done but when I retuned to the finished work I find out they only did the inspection and that I would need to book another appointment for the alignment. not only will it cost me a lot more than if they did it all at once like I asked but now I have to find another day to not have my only mode of transportation. in short, the way I see it they're trying to get more money out of me. rather disappointed by the situation.

Carson, Please re-read your invoice. The reason we did not do an alignment on your Subaru is because the rear struts are leaking, and you will have to have an alignment done again when you do the rear struts. Why do it twice? Your tires are also close to being worn out (5/32nds remaining). We recommended that you replace your struts and tires first, and then do an alignment as it will save you a lot of money in the long run. I am sorry we confused you. If you want to go over the invoice again do not hesitate to drop by and see us, we would be happy to explain it again. Robert Scott Glenwood Auto Service 306-374-3551
