Came to diagnose an issue with the power steering and told me my vehicle's power steering pump is broken and found metal residue in the power steering reservoir. I went to a different shop and found out no metal residue and Glenwood was lying about the fault. All it needed was a power steering fluid flush. I am saving the pumped out power steering oil so I could test it from a lab for metal residue if Glenwood refute my claim. I would never recommend Glenwood to anyone else.
Danusha, thank you for taking the time to leave a google review on our business. My shop foreman is the licensed technician that diagnosed the concern on your BMW 323 2.5L. He has taken a lot of high end BMW training in the United States, and knows this model well. I spoke with him this morning about your power steering issue. He reviewed his notes to refresh his memory and this is what he said: (Your concern was that the power steering had become very stiff and hard to turn) He inspected the intermediate steering shaft and all steering, suspension and stabilizer system components Inspected power steering fluid level - it was fine Inspected the oil inside the power steering pump and there was definitely metal in the power steering fluid inside the reservoir (it glitters when an led light is flashed onto it, and you can feel the metal filings when you rub the oil between your fingertips. System is contaminated. Danusha, a power steering system flush is a temporary fix at best. This comes down to one shop telling you what you want to hear as opposed to us telling you what you don’t want to hear. You can choose who you want to believe. That is totally up to you.
