Our most recent service from Glenwood reinforced our earlier perceptions of what could be expected from Rob and his staff. Perhaps the best way to describe Glenwood may be captured in a single word - Thorough! We took our truck in following a few months of frustration with tires which would not hold air pressure. Over a period of 10 days to 2 weeks the tires would lose air pressure, causing the alert system to indicate that pressure was insufficient. We came to the conclusion that the the problem was due to an issue with the valve stem cores, the valve stem seat or the fact that the tire bead was insecure. We left the truck with the request that these issues be resolved. When we were called with regard to the truck we were told that the tires needed to be replaced. Since the tires had only been in service for 24,000KM (with a manufacturer's warranty of 65,000 KM,) we rejected the notion that the problem was due to the fact that the tires had failed. We explored the matter further with Rob. He got a manufacture's representative involved and it was clear that there would be no redress from that quarter. We were given the explanation that the application of those products which restore the appearance of the tire ( those back to black substances such as Armor All, etc. which brighten the appearance of tire sidewalls) actually cause the tire material to dry out. This permits the creation of small fissures which permit very slow loss of air pressure from within the tire. Of course the solution to the problem is tire replacement something no one is excited to hear. Nevertheless Glenwood had done a thorough job of arriving at the problem. Accepting the conclusion was not pleasant, however, Rob was very helpful is offering a solution and making the cost of applying it very attractive. All-in-all it made the decision to involve Glenwood in the first place a wise one. We would recommend that others who wish to have their vehicles attended to by folks who are knowledgeable and thorough should have a good look at Glenwood.
